The D&H Short Rolled Leather Lead is ideal for keeping your dog 'on a short lead'. At a total length of approx 60cm including the handle and trigger hook, the short lead is also suited to taller dogs that need to be kept close to your side.

The short lead is mostly used in conjunction with the 'coupler' (or 'split lead') which allows two dogs to be walked on one lead.

Materials

The Big Dog short lead is thicker than our standard lead (10mm internal cord) and features a larger trigger hook to support heavier weights. The options also exist, on request, to fix with a locking trigger hook or a supersize heavy-duty hook.

Handmade in England using the finest soft European leathers and solid brass or nickel-plated brass fittings. The internal cord is the same rope used by professional yachtsment - which means it won't rot if it gets wet and has a tensile strength into the thousands of kilograms (sure, your dog might only be a cockerpoo or a dachshund - but when it comes to safety we don't take any chances and we don't compromise on quality).

Available in a range of bright and bold contemporary colours or traditional, classic shades.

Care Instructions

A cleaning with dubbin or saddle soap, then buffed up with a leather restorative like Neat's Foot Oil or a beeswax product (e.g. Renapur or Leather Genie) will help restore the leather to its natural lustre and protect it against the elements.

To help ensure the longevity of your dog's leather collar, allow to air-dry (not on a radiator) after it gets wet and ensure it is dry before re-using.

Do not allow the leather to come into contact with the chemicals from commercially-available flea spot-on treatments. This will damage the leather and may cause the dye to run.

Short leather rolled lead

Perfect for town walks, I can keep my large labradoodle close when there are distractions.
I use the longer leather lead for normal walking as this gives the dog more freedom. I also have the padded collar.
All these items are of first class quality, I thoroughly recommend them.
