Materials

D&H leather Hound collar featuring tan, brown, black or charcoal
hide with a soft padded leather lining in a classic or contemporary colour.

Suitable for Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Greyhounds, Lurchers, Saluki and other Sighthounds.

(This collar is too bulky for tiny Iggies. Instead we recommend our 'Flat Wide' leather collar.)

Solid brass or nickel-plated solid brass load-bearing fittings.

Sizing

Care Instructions

A cleaning with dubbin or saddle soap, then buffed up with a leather restorative like Neat's Foot Oil or a beeswax product (e.g. Renapur or Leather Genie) will help restore the leather to its natural lustre and protect it against the elements.

To help ensure the longevity of your dog's leather collar, allow to air-dry (not on a radiator) after it gets wet and ensure it is dry before re-using.

Do not allow the leather to come into contact with the chemicals from commercially-available flea spot-on treatments. This will damage the leather and may cause the dye to run.

Beautiful collar

So pleased with my hound collar. It is well made, sturdy and eye catching. I'm sure it feels comfortable on my dog. Highly recommend customer services who changed my order when I realised I made an error in the measurements.

Excellent products, superlative service

I had ordered from Dogs & Horses before several years ago, but I was surprised to receive a call directly from the company owner, Kristian. He had seen my order and was just about to package it up for despatch, but wanted to let me know that their dog collar sizing had changed in the years since I had first ordered and he wanted to be sure I had teh rights sizes. He said that if I measured the necks of my dogs he would recommend the best collar sizes for them. This he did and I then expected a delay to my order, as their products are generally made to order. I was delighted to find that the collars arrived within a week and were both teh perfect size for each of my dogs. Impressive customer service which will guarantee future business from me.

Smart well done collar

Padded collar is fantastic because they help to dogs who still pulling don’t get strangle and make them easy to walk. Also they are smart and very comfy for our beloved pups
