Materials
Made of top grain hide and soft European leather battle-tested against the elements.
Colour-fast (will not leech dye onto your dog's coat)*
Solid brass or nickel-plated (silver) solid load-bearing fittings to ensure strength of the collar and security of your dog.
*do not allow the leather to come into contact with chemicals from liquid flea treatments
Care Instructions
A cleaning with dubbin or saddle soap, then buffed with a leather restorative like Neat's Foot Oil or a beeswax product (e.g. Renapur or Leather Genie) will help restore the leather to its natural lustre and protect it against the elements.
Leather and Water. To help ensure the longevity of your dog's leather collar, allow to air-dry (not on a radiator) after it gets wet and ensure it is dry before re-using. Treat with a leather restorative, as above. Although we seal the edges, water can still infiltrate the leather and cause it to deteriorate (cleaning with a damp cloth and a mild non-abrasive cleaner is also fine though always advisable to test to ensure colour does not lift).
Regular Inspection. We encourage regular hands-on inspection and cleaning of your items to ensure against wear and tear as well as the comfort and security of your dog.
Do not allow the leather to come into contact with the chemicals from commercially-available flea spot-on treatments. This will damage the leather and may cause the dye to run (this applies to all leather - including car seats or leather upholstered furniture).
Very pleased with collar
Perfect fit and my dog was comfortable in it immediately
Excellent customer service when I phoned with an enquiry
Would certainly use company again
I bought two big dog collars: black/black/brass and brown/cream/brass for our 30kg lab x white shepherd. I was concerned about our dog’s strength when she pulls and so the collars were further reinforced in the workshop according to our discussions, giving me more comfort. The collars are beautiful, excellent quality and sturdy as expected. I have not seen anything else like it, even from companies who appear to do something similar. The quality and service is excellent - well worth the money.
Thank you Rachel, pleased to hear this!
Always buy my dogs their special leads and collars from Dogs and Horses. They are excellent quality
Thank you, again, Maria :-)
Strong and sturdy collar for my great Dane. Lovely leather and colour combo. Superb quality and craftsmanship.
Much appreciated, thank you Jocelyn!
