Important note about slip lead usage: slip leads are commonly used by gun dog handlers and in the show ring, as well as at kennels and among dog groomers. You must understand correct and safe handling of a slip lead before use or consult a professional dog trainer.

Sizing
Sizing
The full length of the slip lead is approx 155cm - but you'll need to account for how much length is looped over your dog's head to determine the length of lead remaining (hope that makes sense!)
The 'standard' size is approx 10mm thick, suitable for gun dogs. We also provide a finer version for smaller dogs or if you simply prefer a thinner lead (eg. some people also use as a figure-8 over the muzzle and the finer version therefore less bulky).
Care Instructions
Care Instructions
A cleaning with dubbin or saddle soap, then buffed up with a leather restorative like Neat's Foot Oil or a beeswax product (e.g. Renapur or Leather Genie) will help restore the leather to its natural lustre and protect it against the elements.
To help ensure the longevity of your dog's leather slip lead, allow to air-dry (not on a radiator) after it gets wet and ensure it is dry before re-using.
Do not allow the leather to come into contact with the chemicals from commercially-available flea spot-on treatments. This will damage the leather and may cause the dye to run.

Amazing quality and easy to use.
thank you Jennifer, lovely to hear this!
Returned due to thinking not suitable for my dog. Waiting for refund
Thank you John for the consideration. Confirmed received at our workshop and the refund processed our end. Yes the slip lead may not be suitable for your purposes or all dogs. When I take my Australian Shepherd Henry for walks through more crowded areas (like our recent Queen's Park Day) I use the slip lead as a figure-8 over the muzzle. Otherwise he zooms and pulls - but with the head control of a figure-8 over the muzzle he is like a well-mannered and polite prince of a dog. Thanks again!
Got this lead for my Chow Chow. The rolled leather is great since it doesn’t “cut” the fur. It doesn’t get stuck in loop and it releases easy on it´s ownlike it should.
The leather is so soft and light to hold.
ah, super, v pleased by this, thanks so much Inge!
