We are proud to introduce the D&H Horizon Hound Collar. Handcrafted from the finest soft Italian leather, soft suede lining, finished with gold or silver fittings, and featuring a signature contour 'horizon' through the middle.
Available in 5 sizes suitable to Italian Greyhound through to Whippet, Lurcher and Greyhound.
This collar is made-to-order. Please allow an additional day or two for us to make it before we are able to send to you (we promise the wait is worth it!)
Please note: this collar is 'lighter' (made all of reinforced soft leather), suitable for Whippets, Saluki, Afghan Hound. It is not suitable for heavier or muscular breeds when we typically recommend a collar made with a heavier/thicker hide leather better to support their weight and strength.

Smaller dogs, allow at least one finger wriggle room. Medium dogs, two fingers. Big dogs, three.

A cleaning with dubbin or saddle soap, then buffed up with a leather restorative like Neat's Foot Oil or a beeswax product (e.g. Renapur or Leather Genie) will help restore the leather to its natural lustre and protect it against the elements.
To help ensure the longevity of your dog's leather collar, allow to air-dry (not on a radiator) after it gets wet and ensure it is dry before re-using.
Do not allow the leather to come into contact with the chemicals from commercially-available flea spot-on treatments. This will damage the leather and may cause the dye to run.
As mentioned in my previous review, I still have not received my order which I placed over a month ago; please stop asking me to review products which I have paid for and still not received! You should be using your resources to track my order rather than asking for a review every week!
HI Anna so sorry you haven't received your order yet. We have had some struggles with orders into Canada potentially because of the national postal strike which may have put additional pressure on UPS and other couriers especially during the Christmas period. We are not being complacent about this and I apologise the automated email asking for a review assumed you would have received by now. Shipping into Canada isn't ordinarily a problem but the UPS tracking link does have a message apologising for the delay alongside more details. Thanks for your understanding and your support of a family-run small business championing individually handmade leather dog collars as a counterpoint to behemoths like amazon and mass manufacturing. We don't get it right all the time and I fully appreciate your exasperation, with my sincere apologies. Kristian
